This is a really convenient way to travel between the airport and Freetown. I bought my ticket at the airport and I really appreciated that they accepted dollars, as I did not have any local currency when I arrived in Sierra Leone. The ride to their hub took about 20 mins and we waited for another 20 mins after we arrived for their staff to load our luggage on the boat. They sell food and drinks at the hub so I snacked on that while I waited. Getting to Freetown took about 35 minutes and it was quite a pleasant ride with refreshing sea breeze and a view of the city in the distance. They also had life jackets on board which made me feel extra safe. I used the same service for my return back. The service schedule depends on the flight times and sea coach will change their departure time if there are any delays with your return flight. Make sure to call ahead to confirm!
