About Africa Animation Festival
The mission of Africa Animation Festival (AAF) is to create an ecosystem of Africa’s animators and creatives in the continent and the Diaspora. Animation across Africa has long been underrepresented in both the local and global space. Africa Animation Festival (AAF) serves this void as a platform to network and showcase the vast talents of Africa and the Diaspora in animation. As an advocacy and showcasing platform, AAF’s goal is to build a sustainable connection between Africa and the world in recognition of the animation works being created in Africa and the Diaspora.
The Africa Animation Festival is a joint venture between AnimaxFYB Studios, an animation hub in Accra and African Story Network, a 501c3 non profit organization based in NYC that promote African stories across all creative platforms.
Africa Animation Festival’s development goals includes: Advocacy, Mentorship, Distribution and Capacity Building to increase animation across the African continent.
